The buildings on the left are only a quarter of a mile from UWA-3. As you can see from this photo, global warming has taken an effect on the landscape. Looking at the various stratification water lines shows how the glaciers have been melting over the years.
So why are these buildings here? I mean, we're in the boonies here! I'm guessing this is some type of research facility. The next photo will show a bit more detail...
