The best overall view of the sacred site of Machu Picchu is from the Guardhouse. Many postcards and magazine photos have been taken from this location. Uña Picchu and Huayana Picchu mountains are shown in the background.
Machu Picchu is located between two fault lines, the Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu faults. This means there should be higher magnetic energies located throughout Machu Picchu. This may be the reason the Inca and even older civilizations chose this site as a sacred site.
