A natural cave below the Temple of the Sun shows the Royal Mausoleum or tomb. This area has now been roped off, but my research indicates that there is a sculpted stone inside which looks very much like the Intiwatana Stone that is above ground. There are also two niches inside which lends credibility to the idea that this too was a place of ceremony and/or vortex energy.
