I have run across some very interesting anomalies in lakes throughout the Andes Mountains in Peru. The images come from Google Earth and can be seen by anyone using this wonderful application. I came across these "Unidentified Underwater Anomalies - UWA's" while researching various places in the mountain region of Peru. As you probably know, there are quite a number of ancient ruins such as Machu Picchu that have been inhabited by the Inca and civilizations much older than the Inca. The photo album "Unidentified Underwater Anomalies" currently has sixteen photos showing these UWA's near Lake Titicaca. The other location which I found UWA's is in the northern central andes about 200 miles north-east of Lima.
What I found will make you wonder just what the heck is going on with these images. Are they for real? What is it that we are actually looking at here. Some of these images almost look like computer boards. Some look like buildings with streets, houses and corridors. One of the images looks as though the walls have crumbled in sections and even shows a section that is dismembered and has moved several feet from its original location. I have yet to determine what I'm seeing in Google Earth and would like to hear what you think these anomalies might be. Therefore, I've included a .kmz file which can be read by Google Earth as an attachment to this post. Simply download it and double click it to be taken to the first location. Since I have found the UWA's and have been so intrigued by them, I decided to do a little research on underwater anomolies in Peru. I found that there in fact have been archeological findings in Peru! A BBC Online article written in 2000 reports in part the following:
Ancient temple found under Lake Titicaca
The ruins of an ancient temple have been found by international archaeologists under Lake Titicaca, the world's highest lake.The lake has long drawn fascination with various legends around it, including one of an underwater city called Wanaku and another of Inca gold lost by the Spanish.
The Incas also regarded the lake as the birthplace of their civilization, and in their myth, the Children of The Sun emerged out of the waters.
A second expedition by the AKAKOR team sheds even more light on the subject of an underwater ancient civilization. They claim it is the Tiwanakotas civilization, but I wonder if this is not an offshoot of Plato's lost city of Atlantis?
"Tiwanaku 2004 Expedition - Summary"
The objective was to discover in the depths of the lake, through a series of extreme dives and the use of ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle), old artefacts from the Tiwanakotas civilization, a precursor to the Incas civilization.
We wanted to prove the "AKAKOR theory" which is briefly this: 6,000 years ago lake Titicaca was shallower and less extensive than nowadays. Land which is now covered by hundreds of meters of water was then dry and habitable.
The AKAKOR team had already discovered some proof of this in the 2000 expedition. The expectations were therefore very high for this new expedition and the results have exceeded our highest expectations, catapulting the team of divers and scientists onto the world stage. At 120 meters depth we discovered roads and containing walls (probably used for agricultural purposes), all of which go back to 6,000 years ago, as the subsequent analyses show.
The group discovered something incredible: for centuries the locals have told stories of the existence of a cave where there used to be human sacrifices carried out to the tune of 200 children in one day. Nobody knew where this was and some doubted the cave's existence. This cave was found together with the remains of the little children.
Underwater ruins from 6,000 years ago and a gold idol of some 35 kilos. The statue is an amazing artefact, but for the AKAKOR staff the real treasure was another: finally we have proof, after years of research, that our theory was right and the structures and artefacts which have been uncovered will determine new knowledge of the dawn of civilization in the Andes. This discovery elicits new explorations; the area of research was restricted to 20 square kilometers out of the possible 8,000, to avoid dispersion. A discovery which will rewrite the history of pre-Incas civilizations. The material gathered will be processed and analysed and the data will form the base for the new version of history.
Maybe there are even more findings showing that there are underwater anomalies that we have yet to determine. With global warming melting the glaciers in the Andes, we can now start seeing what is under the melted ice. Are the UWA's that I have uncovered in Peru actually showing ancient underwater cities like Atlantis? Or maybe they are hidden government installations of some sort? How about something even further in the paranormal, UFO base camps?
I haven't the answer, but I'm hoping that the photos I am providing will get some attention and that maybe, just maybe, we can find out what it is that is under these lakes in the high Andean Mountains of Peru. Please do comment if you know of anything that can help explain the Unidentified Underwater Anomalies.

Underwater anomolies in the andes
I observed the youtube video with interest and had to google over to "see" for myself. it is quite amazing to go from lake to lake and see the anomolies in only some of the waters. i live in north georgia at the southern end of lake lanier, so i googled Buford Dam in Georgia, a hydro dam created on lake lanier between 1950 and 1957. i also see these underwater anomolies especially around buford dam. we boat on the lake and have never seen physical evidence of any underwater structures resembling the structures shown in google. but keep in mind the corps bought land and houses and left many residential structures standing. it is odd that i went to many other lakes and it is not a common occurence to "reflect" these images. i don't have an explanation but maybe seeing it in a U.S. location will shed light on your search for an answer. if you wish you can email me at laniercomsvcs@yahoo.com.

i've also been searching about peru's underwater anomalies and i've eventually come across infomation that concludes my search. consider that the andes are a global delta that resulted from land slades that left behind some puddles with the remainds of ancient towns after the great flood described in the bible. you know mud of any material will turn into rock after ~4000 years. seek and you shall find my lovely friend.

and after a while i stumbled upon lake Salinas. You can see a very clear structure under the water, a more real structure that those in the video, i can't really see if this structure is modern, it looks like its under the water.
I saw a video on youtube a few weeks ago, it's about an ancient civilisation on mars, i think you will like it. It shows an exact same structure as shown in ur movie, can't be coincedence?

I looked at this video and have to say that what the author did by adding contrast and darkening the original image, he basically brought out the natural embeded jpeg compression artifacts. I want you to know that I try to keep an open mind to all of this, but I have to speak honestly when I see the obvious.
As to the underwater anomalies at Lake Salinas... If this is the lake in Peru near Arequipa, it is in fact real. Not that what you see are underwater buildings, but the lake is a saline lake and the Peruvians actually extract the minerals from the lake. That is why there are rectangular holding areas within the edge of the lake.

Underwater Structures near Lake Titicaca
Hello QuiQue, I have located on Google Earth the structures as described in your You Tube clip. The following are the geographic locations of the first four. Because of the rapid screen movement I could not find the others, but would like to check them out.
I have seen such anomalies alleged on pictures returned from Mars, but on closer examination, I believe it was clearly a case of excessive pixel magnification which would, with some ignorance of pixel knowledge give sway to more imagination that cross reference.
Your observations, on the other hand, deserve further study, if not to find the structures themselves, at least the persons at Google that may have seeded them.
The GPS locations of the first four locations you have revealed are as follows:

I’d like to have the others.
I also was impressed with the similarity of structure size in relation to the water areas containing them. They are realistically proportionate with what one would expect for human or alien habitation as we think of them.

I don't have the answers to pixelation. I know that many people disregard these images due to compression artifacts. Thing is that the images I am showing are very far from having the type of image compression you may see when blowing up the images. The only real answer will come when someone investigates these sites with underwater film cameras. Maybe some day, I will get the opportunity. Just maybe...

your video drew my attention, and i have been viewing some of the locations on google earth myself. i found something you may find interesting (if you hadn't already noticed yourself)
at the location you marked as UWA-6, there are two lakes with the yellow marker between them. the lake west of the marker has a cloud floating above it. i dont know wether this has anything to do with the anomalies, but it seems to me that the shadow of the cloud makes the lake look darker and the patterns more visible.
now for the interesting part: if you look at the north shore of the lake, you can see the patterns continuing on the side of the mountains, where it looks more like some sort of layer covering the picture, or maybe some kind of reflection.
i would like to read your opinion on this

WOW! This is exactly what I always wished my country held. My name is Samuel (20) and I was born in the andes of Peru, into extreme poverty. After a harsh beginning of my life (being orphaned at three years old, then living on the streets for almost two years, and finally getting picked up by the police and taken to an orphanage), I was adopted when I was about seven. I was able to return with my new family, when I was ten. Among other places, we visited Machu Picchu and Nazca, which I absolutely fell in love with, as well as the beautiful people throughout. I've longed to go back and journey through the andes, with a specific goal to reach lake Titicaca. I had heard of ruins of a possible temple that had been found beneath it's surface. And I new then that my hopes of there being more fantastic secrets, left hidden in the andes by the Inca, would become a reality. And now, with these amazing videos, I have more inspiration to go and live there... more than ever before. On top of exploring, my ultimate dream is to live amongst the kind mountain people, and to aid them in any way possible. I'm young now, but I hope that in the near future this will become a reality of mine. As well as an artist, I have become very spiritual since about 16. I long to leave this materialistic country, based on false religion, and return to my birthplace, where true nature lies. Your site is amazing. If only more people could come to realize how bad of a direction our world is heading in right now.

There are more to know about Peru, i have been discovering much of it in a total of 5 month. You have Kuelap in the north, wich is an fortress built by the chachapoyan people (chachapoyas=people in the clouds in quechua) people with blond hairs. You also have the Chavin culture in Huaraz wich are supposed to be cultures with ancestors all the way back to 5000b.c, they also used San Pedro( an catus used by many shamans) to be able to see in the dark. In the Jungle of Manu(national reserve) there are petroglyphs 8000 years old. Then you have the aqueducts 5km south of Nazca, 2000years old aqueducts built to create vortex cleaning(how about that), outside Nazca you have Cauachi(the seers town) 24square kms of pyramids wich are not yet excavated. 120kms north of Lima you have the pyramid of Caral wich is 100 years older than the pyramide of Giza, supposed to be the cratle of civilisation because there are no trases of war.

They are both to bee found in Peru between 2000–3000 m in altitude.
A short-spined variant which is nearly identical in appearance to its relative, Echinopsis pachanoi (San Pedro cactus), is known. It is therefore possible that many misidentified plants are being sold (both as Peruvian Torch and as San Pedro), but since local variations as well as hybrids do exist (both cultivated and natural), this will obviously make proper identification difficult.
San Pedro: Echinopsis pachanoi has a long history of being used in Andean traditional medicine. Archeological studies have found evidence of use going back two thousand years, to Moche culture.
The Huaca del Sol, a pyramidal adobe structure on the "Rio Moche", had been the largest pre-Columbian structure in Peru; however, it was partly destroyed when Spanish Conquistadors mined its graves for gold.
Currently it is widely known and used to treat nervous conditions, joint problems, drug addictions, cardiac disease, and high blood pressure, and it has unique antimicrobial properties.
Studies of ice cores drilled from glaciers in the Andes reveal climatic events between 536 to 594 AD, possibly a super El Niño, that resulted in 30 years of intense rain and flooding followed by 30 years of drought, part of the aftermath of the climate changes of 535–536. Thank you for the interesting finding. Recently, I have been reading much about some of the sites that have been found via Google earth. I'm not sure if you have read the article on the city found in the Atlantic Ocean ( http://www.heralddeparis.com/previously-undiscovered-ancient-city-found-...) if you note the city they speak of is very similar to what you have observed. The scientist have found this through the use of Google Earth. I believe that there are many other underwater cities that we are have not found as there is little research focused on the ocean. There is definitely much more that we are noticing at this time. I hope that some day you do have a chance to explore these lakes. I'm sure that we will be pleasantly surprised.

i believe that there are many civilization before the one we live in right now. I also know that there are structures in Peru that dates back more than 35 thousand years. Chinese history only has a little bit less than 5000 years. To put things into perspective, imagine that a civilization is represented by a deck of cards. When God is not happy with his creation, he reshuffles the cards, leave a small group of survivors and hope that the next civilization will be a better one. A civilization that is not cruel and fill with greed.
I was skeptical about UFOs
I was skeptical about UFOs for the longest time until I started listening to Mysterious Universe. I'm not going to say that I'm convinced they exist now, but I'm definitely a lot more open minded when it comes to forming opinions about the paranormal. Also, if you guys din't know, we're due for a solar storm in 2012 - which (although I'm normally not very adamant about things like this, I'm convinced that it's coming). Is it just me or has it seemed like there has been a greater frequency in solar flares over the last couple of years? I've been watching http://spaceweather.com/ over the last few years and I'm not a scientist, but I have noticed an increase in sunspots. I also have satellite internet, so whenever there's a solar flare the signal gets disrupted and I get a headache along w/ it. It could just be my ISP (internet providers in my area that I use in case you were wondering) but with the increase in reports of solar flares and articles like these I'm beginning to think that we really ARE in for a toasty treat in 2012 :/

Every 11-12 years, the sun experiences an increase in solar activities from simple solar flares to CMEs (coronal mass ejections). In relation to ancient civilizations, the prophecy that the world will end in 2012 lines up with the height of the sun's solar activity. (Not saying that I believe it) You might experience more and more outages of your internet and cable that even large ISPs like AT&T and Comcast can't fight against. As far as these UWA, with global warming and the accelerated melting of the ice in the poles, isn't it going to become more difficult to explore these things with higher water levels?... Granted the poles will begin to show history that was buried under ice, but deep sea exploration, from what I've read, is more of a challenge for scientists than space exploration. We know more about space, collectively, than our deep seas.

I've looked into the thought controlled flying saucers from a number of sources & scientific limitation to my explorations. So, I won't be building one. (e.g: Atlantians used this method of travel. (NAZI's used electromagnetic-drive in their Vrill ships.))
Nicola Tesla often said that if he'd had the backing he would have been able to build a thought controlled flying saucer, or cigar-shape.
I suspect the only reason he wasn't killed after developing the magnetic car & scalar "free-energy", was because he was unique.
(Tesla was asked by Roosevelt, to work on a method of cloaking (invisibility), in 1933. He did this until 1942, with one successful "unmanned trial." The Philadelphia experiment. Tesla left the project in disgust as they wanted to "human" test it, but he'd said it wasn't safe yet.
I suspect he had an idea of what was going to happen to the crew. Al Bielek tells the story of what happened. (He was Edward Cameron, and with his brother Duncan Cameron, were the ones who jumped off the Eldrich & into the Montauk experiment of the 1980's.)
Einstein stole Tesla's unified field theory, just as he'd stolen relativity. (see: John Keely- Relativity Theory was 200 years old by the time Einstein published.) - {Don't get me wrong: Einstein was phenomenally brilliant, but unfortunately, he was somewhat plagiarist. (Which I suspect was arranged so certain Tesla theories would remain secret.)}
Tesla taught the technique to Otis T. Carr, and warned him to let 30 years go by, before he built the device. Otis built it in the sixties.
Ralph Ring was the test pilot & describes the way the device works on his web-site. Otis was persecuted & prosecuted, until he remained quiet-'til-death in the early 80's. Ralph Ring remained quiet until the 90's. There have been assassination attempts on him since he went public. It's sad that the 20th century could not have had free-energy & free-flight. It was there to be had. (UTRON electrical accumulator.)
Roswell: Many whistle-blowers this decade have come out with the same story:
The Roswell crash was "us from the future"; man (not aliens). The technology used in the craft was the same as described by Tesla.
Billy Meier also described it as the same method used by Pleaidiens. (Plejarens)
I think it was Jesus who said, "just like I am, so shall you all be..." (or, something like that).
Of, course many of these men are described as liars, (or, in Jesus case, words were edited & altered to leave out important philosophies), but there is nothing about their lives that indicates that they are liars, except the concerted campaigns to paint them as such.
I believe the truth is that the-powers-that-be are researching & building these devices, but they aren't telling the public.

Anyway, there's some names & references for you; if you want to do the homework. All the information is out there to be had, but you won't find it on any University web-site. (Clues can also be found by researching Ed Leedskalnin's Coral Castle in Florida. ("for my sweet sixteen.")

Michael Cremo, Researcher of Ancient Archaeology and Author, Forbidden Archaeology: "Within the past few months, the engineers began some dredging operations there and they pulled up human fossil bones, fossil wood, stone tools, pieces of pottery and many other things that indicated that it indeed was a human habitation site that they had. And they were able to do more intensive sonar work there and were able to identify more structures. They appeared to have been laid out on the bank of a river that had been flowing from the Indian subcontinent out into that area.
